Here’s My Little Issue…

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Day! I had a blast! I got a chance to make some new dishes to share with my family thanks to www.FoodNetwork.com. 🙂

Yes – I confess! I’m sort of obsessed with that channel. So what better way for me to channel my inner Julia Child AND get some amazing recipes for the holidays right?!

Anyway, I really do LOVE this time of year because I get to spend a lot of time with friends and family. I also love this time of year because of the delicious FOOD that I normally wouldn’t have the chance to indulge in any other time! But there is one caveat – I am lactose intolerant so I have to be careful regarding what foods I eat so I don’t have you know… problems lol.

If you don’t know what lactose intolerance is allow me to take you on a food allergy crash course. Simply put, it’s when a person has a food allergy to milk and other dairy products. But keep in mind that the problem with this condition doesn’t lie within the milk itself. The problem is with the biochemical makeup of the person that consumes the milk. The flaw lies within the person that ingests it. The milk only REVEALS that fact; but the milk doesn’t CAUSE the actual issue.

GOD’S WORD is like that milk I mentioned. Its perfect in every way. Nothing is wrong with it. But if we ingest it – I mean TRULY take it in – it WILL reveal things that are wrong within us.

But here’s the catch – even our flaws can still bring glory to God! The truth of the matter is that you will never know how you need to change until those flaws have been revealed. And then once you know better, you must choose to do better. And when you choose to do better, God always get the glory!
