Here’s the ONE THING you need to do to get your motivation back…

It’s confession time.

Do you ever find yourself thinking, “Why am I doing this? Is all this hard work even worth it? What was I thinking to feel I could do all of this?”

Well if you do, you’re not alone. Most normal people have those thoughts all the time. Even those crazy-successful people that make everything they do look super easy.

(Yes, they struggle with staying motivated too!)

Here’s the deal: if you want to create big waves in the world, de-motivation will rear its ugly head a lot! Especially when you’re passionate about what you’re doing.

If you’re like me, I’m certain you have a million amazing ideas just waiting to be created and have a hard time seeing the light at the end of the “how will all of this ever get done” tunnel.

But there’s hope!

Allow me to introduce you to a concept that has worked wonders for me and many others. I can always count on this method to boost my confidence and give me a jump start when I get in a slump or just feel down right unmotivated.

Are you ready?

…Really ready?

Ok, here goes….

I start learning.

Yep, that’s it. I start learning about the goal I want to achieve.

Whether that’s learning about the self-publishing industry to get my new book to market in December or learning recipes and dietary tips for a green smoothie cleanse that I want to do next month. The first steps to gaining the necessary motivation to take action is to research.

Unknowns can be scary. And we tend to be less compelled to move into areas that we know very little about. But when you feel like you know and understand something, you will fear it less.

Let’s be honest.

There’s really nothing new under the sun. And although your goal may be new for you, there are lots of examples out there of everyday, ordinary people that have accomplished extraordinary things when they simply learned their craft and mastered it.

If you’re feeling stuck right now, take a visit to the local bookstore or the library and grab a few of the top books on your industry. is also a great place to go for books, especially hard to find ones.

I like to build my learning into my weekly schedule by breaking the bigger goal down into bite size sub-topics that I can focus on each week so that I don’t get overwhelmed.

Lets take my goal of self-publishing my book for example:

Week 1: Study the differences between self-publishing vs. traditional publishing
Week 2: Study the different types of editors and what each one does in the book creation process
Week 3: Learn negotiating techniques for design costs and printing of books

…and so on!

The more I begin to understand the in’s and out’s of the industry, it doesn’t seem so impossible any more.

The truth is you’ll never feel totally ready for the impact that you were created to make in the world. You will always feel like there’s something else that needs to be done before you can move forward. But miracles happen when you start before you’re ready!

If you choose to do nothing, someone will miss out on the gift that only you can give. And we absolutely don’t want that right?!

When you open your mind up to learning you begin to feed your dream. And when you feed your dream it will GROW!
