A Prayer of Encouragement to Let You Know God is There…

In a day where overall morale is low and skepticism is high, it may be hard for some to see the good that can come out of going through. And often when we feel that we need God the most, it seems like He’s nowhere to be found. Abraham and Sarah endured years of sadness because of the desire for a child. Elijah suffered through the desert for 40 days and 40 nights with nothing to eat and then had to hide himself in a cave from those who wanted to kill him. Martha and Mary looked on in hopelessness as their brother Lazarus died while they were waiting for Jesus to come. It is a natural assumption to feel that when things are going well, God loves us and that He is there. But when things begin to fall apart, we take on the frame of mind that He has left us.

Go Rachel, It’s Your Birthday…!

Ahhh….I remember it like it was yesterday. Well not really. Actually I can’t remember a thing from that day lol I only know what I’ve been told by my parents and family that were present at my birth. One thing that my mother reminds me of every so often is about the scar on her belly from her cesarean section. You see, I was born breech or in other words, I tried to come out feet first! I guess I have always been one who didn’t like to take the conventional route lol. But nonetheless, I decided that throughout this day, 32 years later, I would take some time to reflect on my life and take some time to just celebrate ME. I know some who may read this post may consider that a selfish thing to do, but as I’ve grown older I have found that it’s very important that you value yourself and constantly remind yourself of what you have to offer.

You Can ALWAYS Come Back Home…

The parable of the Prodigal Son is one that is very familiar and in it Jesus deeply portrays the message of Gods unwavering love for His children. In the message entitled “You Can Always Come Back Home”, I want you to know that God loves us, and even when we mess up, He is there waiting for us to come back home. As a matter of fact God’s love for us is stronger than the sins in our life that separate us from Him, and there is no pit deep enough that God cannot pull you out of. If you are in the will of God, I urge you to remember to pray for someone you know who has strayed away. If we remain honest, I’m sure there has been a time in each of our lives where we have all allowed our personal desires to cause us to drift into a “far country”. And if you have ever left God, you know what that can be like be. So today, help someone get to a turning point in their life, one that turns them BACK TO GOD!
